Hermes Airports has won three major Cyprus Green Public Procurement (GPP) awards.

The contest is held annually within a cooperation between the Environmental Department of Cyprus and Cyprus Energy Agency. Organisations from the private sector participated for the first time during the most recent edition.

Hermes Airports won the awards for General Environmental Policy, Internal Lighting, and Energy Performance of Building Facilities, recognising the effectiveness of Hermes’ environmental policy and its efforts to save energy and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions.

Nicos Kouyialis, minister of agriculture, Cyprus, presented the awards to Demetris Demetriou, manager, department of safety, health and environment, Hermes Airports.
Kouyialis also officially delivered Hermes Airports with the European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme certification it recently granted for Larnaka Airport.
