Cobalt Air Welcomed into IATA

Cyprus airline, Cobalt Air, has been welcomed into International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The membership certificate was handed to the carrier at a ceremony held at Larnaka International Airport on March 02. Cobalt is now the first and only Cyprus registered airline to become an IATA member. Commenting on the new membership, Rafael Schvartzman, regional vice president, IATA, Europe, enthused, “Cyprus and aviation are intertwined, so we are extremely happy to welcome Cobalt Air to the IATA family, and have a member airline in this great country. We look forward to partnering together for the benefit of Cyprus and its connectivity with Europe and the world.”

Cobalt now looks forward to collaborating with other international member airlines, on issues such as codeshare and interline agreements. With the new development, Cobalt will now be aiming to offer the Cypriot population and people overseas a wider range of global travel connections.
