Marta Alvarez-Rey, sales manager, Germania, revealed that the airline would between March and October this year, be offering two direct flights per week, on Wednesdays and Sundays on the routes. Over the same period, there is also scheduled to be one weekly flight, every Wednesday, linking Paphos and Dresden.
Revealing Germania’s plans for Cyprus over the next two years, Alvarez-Rey was speaking at a March 14 event at Cypriot tourism supplier Top Kinisis Travel’s Nicosia-based head office. The happening was also attended by travel agents, local media, travel and tourism stakeholders and Franz Josef Kremp, Germany’s ambassador to Cyprus.
Kremp commented that there was further scope for increasing tourism from Germany to Cyprus and that a higher number and more frequent flights linking the two countries were warranted.
