As part of its summer schedule, S7 Airlines is set to operate regular flights from Moscow to the Greek island Kos.

The flights will begin on April 29, twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays, and as of May 29, the frequency will be increased to three times a week, with the addition of a Monday service.

Commenting on the airline's new route, Igor Veretennikov, commerce director, S7 Airlines, said, "[In 2016] Greece has become one of the most popular European countries among Russian travellers.

Kos island is interesting, not only with its different beaches, ancient forts and castles but also with its opportunities of activities; the northern seaside traditionally attracts fans of windsurfing and other water sports."
