According to Airports Council International Europe’s Airport Traffic Report, in the first quarter (Q1), Larnaka International Airport was ranked third in terms of passenger growth in the category of European hubs that welcome between five and 10 million passengers annually.

During Q1, the gateway saw 26.9 percent increase in passengers, behind Keflavík International Airport and Boryspil International Airport, which achieved passenger growth of 53.7 percent and 32.2 percent, respectively.

Commenting on the figures, Maria Kouroupi, director, marketing & communications, Hermes Airports, stated, “We are very pleased with the path of passenger traffic which continues its upward course for the second consecutive year.The results of Q1 also confirm increase in the winter months, which is a priority for us.”
