Cyprus Promotes Culinary Tourism

In the context of promoting the country’s local products and culinary culture while also upgrading services provided by hotels, Cyprus Tourism Organisation, Larnaca Tourism Board, Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative and Travel Foundation collaboratively organised an educational workshop dedicated to the Cypriot breakfast.

Taking place at Golden Bay Beach Hotel, the workshop hosted renowned chef George Kyprianou who outlined ways of using Cypriot products in creating new and imaginative breakfast dishes.

Meanwhile, the seminar highlighted the social role of the hotel industry in supporting local producers and communities as well as pinpointed that informing visitors of traditional Cypriot gastronomy is crucial for promoting food’s historical and cultural dimension.
