As part of its strategy to further boost sports tourism in Cyprus, while also enabling local athletes to participate in global events, Pafos Regional Board of Tourism has recently unveiled plans to provide symbolic financial support to two local athletes.

Aiming to promote sport culture while also engaging young children in beach and water activities, Cyprus Sports Organisation in collaboration with Larnaca Municipality organised the 10th Sports Summer Festival. 

Organised by Cyprus Sports Organisation (CSO) in cooperation with Office of Volunteer Commissioner and non-governmental organisations, the Pancyprian Cycling Route of Marina Theodorou took place on May 29 – June 02 under the theme Beyond Bike for a Euro - For a World Without Leukaemia.

The Logicom Cyprus Marathon took place in Pafos for the 19th consecutive year on March 05.

Paphos is becoming an attractive destination for sports tourism reflected by a high number of individual athletes and international teams that are expected to visit the city within the next following months.

The Cypriot sailing season continued with Optimist Action, a four-day schedule featuring a beginners’ day event and the ninth ESYAA cup for sailors aged 10 years.
