Ayia Napa Municipality Supports League Against Rheumatism

The closing ceremony of the 18th Pancyprian Campaign of Cyprus League Against Rheumatism, concluded on May 13.

Christos Zannetou, vice mayor, Ayia Napa, welcomed participants to the campaign, along with the member of the league, on the behalf of Yiannis Karousos, mayor, Ayia Napa.

In his address, Zannetou said, “Rheumatic diseases are a silent scourge that affects several thousand Cypriots, unfortunately information about the effects of these diseases, and the awareness about their treatment continues to be very low in our country level.”

The campaign named, Do Not Be Late, Connect Now, aimed at informing and bringing awareness to people about rheumatic diseases.

Finally, Zannetou, thanked and congratulated Cyprus League Against Rheumatism for the launch of the annual week of awareness for Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal diseases.
